CEBU Archbishop Jose Palma will continue to welcome walk-in visitors to the Archbishop's Palace but only after they have passed through screening at the Palace's front gate.
That, as Palma plans to visit the wake of Jeffrey Cañedo, the man who was shot dead by police inside the Palace compound yesterday, upon his return to Cebu on Friday, Archdiocesan spokesman Msgr. Joseph Tan said today.
Cañedo had gone looking for Palma but was told that the Archbishop was attending a bishops' conference outside Cebu.
Cañedo was found to have been armed when he entered the Archbishop's Palace, prompting Palace people to call the police.
