PanAsiatic turns 8, renews partnership with PhilCare

BACOLOD. PANASIATIC Solutions will celebrate its 8th year of operation in Bacolod City and one of the highlights of the celebration is the renewal of their health insurance with PhilCare.

PanAsiatic Solutions site director and general manager Siony Hijara-Ferraris signed the contract with PhilCare senior vice president–sales and marketing Christian Cristobal as witnessed by Zandro Oliver Carabal M.D., PanAsiatic solutions' officials Carmel Monteclaros, Rogie Arcenas, Ma. Teresa Milagros Nolasco and other employees of the call center.

The signing was held at Building II beside the Bacolod Government Center.

Ferraris said: "it has been an annual tradition between PanAsiatic Solutions and PhilCare. We always do our renewal with Phil Care every anniversary of PanAsiatic. We look forward to a strong partnership with Phil Care and once again more focused on wellness and management and prevention of common illnesses for the employees."

She added "we already started our campaign against pneumonia as we noticed that some of our employees have this community-acquired pneumonia for the past years. It has been common not just at PanAsiatic but a growing concern of those operating call centers. We are promoting the vaccination of employees like anti-pneumonia in partnership with PhilCare."

She said, "as early as day one of employment, employees are already covered by the PhilCare health insurance. We don't discriminate probationary and regular employees from the health coverage. Talking about enhancement, we want to discuss more on the wellness program. We do have, outside of the medical care, they can avail of eye check-up and eyeglasses through Philcare."

"When we reviewed our utilization last year, pneumonia was the number reason of hospital confinement of call center employees. We are pro-active this year and administered vaccines this year," she said.

Carabal said the top illnesses that are experienced by some employees are pneumonia, upper respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, diabetes and hypertension.

Monteclaros said, "we are more on the prevention side. We want our employees to be healthy."

Arcenas said they will hold their sportsfest starting today such as basketball and volleyball.

On August 17, they will have their motorcade and on August 19 is the staging of an eight-kilometer fun run and Zumba which will be participated by around 1,500 employees.
