THE City Government of San Carlos, through its Information Technology and Computer Services Office (ITCSO), presented to the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) its first entry for Digital Governance Awards on October 11.
The ITCSO's entry was about the closed circuit television (CCTV) project of the city's Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (DRRMO) headed by Joe Recalex Alingasa Jr.
The San Carlos City DRRMO staff with Alingasa faced a panel of judges from the DICT in a zoom conference facilitated by the ITCSO.
Alingasa said the CCTV project was materialized as one of the pro-active measures taken by the city to help address the local peace and order situation and improve CDRRMO's emergency response.
Some of the questions hurled at the presenters included the impact and sustainability of the project, and the benefits that the general public gained from its installation.
City Administrator Estefanio Libutan Jr. was also present during the evaluation with the representatives from the ITCSO, the City Planning and Development Coordinator's Office and the Information Office.
The other entry of the city is the Vamos App to be presented to the DICT on October 14, 2021. Results of said contest will be announced by the DICT in November. (PR)
