THE 303rd Infantry Brigade, Philippine Army based in the Municipality of Murcia, Negros Occidental marked its 37th Founding Anniversary recently with Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, Abang Lingkod Representative Stephen Paduano, town and city mayors, and others gracing the occasion.
The governor congratulated the military officers and personnel of the 303rd Infantry Brigade in the Municipality for their selfless and courageous service in promoting peace and order in Negros Island.
The governor and 303rd IB Commander Brigadier General Orlando Edralin led the wreath-laying ceremony at the Camp Major Nelson Gerona monument.
Governor Lacson lauded the brigade for their excellent service, not only in promoting peace but also in times of disasters and calamities.
"May God continue to bless and protect you, and may he sustain the gains of our endeavors for a more peaceful and progressive province," he said.
A plaque of appreciation was also given to the Negros Occidental local government unit for the invaluable support and outstanding partnership in implementing the Whole-of-the-Nation and Whole-of-Government Approach in the brigade's area of responsibility.
Also present at the activity were Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, 3ID Commander Major General Marion Sison, 303IB Deputy Brigade Commander Colonel Eufracio Joel Malig, Jr., mayors of cities and towns in the province, and other guests.
