TWO areas in two barangays in Murcia town were declared under extreme enhanced community quarantine (EECQ) effective Wednesday, August 20, 2020.
In an Executive Order issued Wednesday by Murcia Mayor Gerry Rojas, he stated that Purok Sambag, Barangay Blumentritt and Farmville Subdivision in Barangay Salvacion are placed under EECQ effective Wednesday until revoked or amended.
The order was issued after a careful verification as there are suspected Covid-19 cases in the said areas.
Residents of the said areas will not be allowed to leave their respective houses at all times and basic necessities shall be provided by the municipality through the assistance of barangay officials.
Barangay officials will strictly enforce the order and violators may be subjected to criminal prosecution under pertinent laws, Rojas's order further stated.
