A TOTAL of 26 persons in Bacolod City were arrested by Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) for violating curfew hours from April 24 and 25.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said the 26 persons were arrested in various areas in the city for violating curfew hours from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
He said the violators were arrested by personnel of Police Stations 2, 3, 8, and 9, and operatives of Bacolod City Mobile Force Company (BCMFC).
The violators were given warning and were released, but some of them were also charged for violation of Article 51 or Revised Penal Code for disobedience to person in authority.
Mayor Evelio Leonardia earlier issued Executive Order (EO) No. 22 providing for the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of EO No. 21, Series of 2020.
The curfew hours start from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. of the following day. These restricted hours shall require every individual to already have returned to his/her home and stay there until the lapse of the restriction.
Meanwhile, seven persons were also arrested in quarantine checkup point in Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City Saturday.
Police identified the suspects as Kinneth Dizon, 24; James Rojas, 28; Jhunrey Metuda, 22; Jocel Molina, 21; Jasmer Flores, 26; Jericho Esteban, 34; and Joel Daulong, 33, all residents of Barangay Singcang-Airport.
Pico said the suspects were arrested violation of Executive Order Nos. 26, 27, and 30 related to the strict implementation of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
