A TOTAL of 297 individuals violated ordinances on anti-colorum, riding-in-tandem, and curfew for minors in Bacolod City from June 16 to 29, records at the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) showed.
Senior Superintendent Francisco Ebreo, acting BCPO director,1 submitted the report to the Municipal Board on July 3.
For anti-colorum, 74 persons were arrested for violating City Ordinance 185 Series of 1997, an ordinance regulating the operation of motorized tricycles and granting of the franchise for the operation.
Police Stations 2 and 3 have the highest number of apprehension, with 14 and 13, respectively.
About 30 persons were also arrested for violating the City Ordinance 832 Series of 2017 on riding-in-tandem.
Based on the ordinance, riding-in-tandem is prohibited from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily.
Fourteen were collared from June 16 to 22 and 16 others were also arrested the following week.
Police Stations 2 and 10 have the highest number of arrests with 21 and 6, respectively.
Meanwhile, 193 minors were caught violating City Ordinance 331 Series of 2003 or the curfew for minors.
Police Stations 2, 7, and 10 have the highest number of violators, with 53, 34, and 23, respectively.
Ninety-three were caught from June 16 to 22 while 100 others were also caught from June 23 to 29.
Based on the city ordinance, minors are not allowed to stay on streets from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. daily.
