THIRTY-eight personnel of San Carlos City Police Station in Negros Occidental underwent a random drug test Monday, November 19.
The test conducted at the police station was facilitated by the Provincial Crime Laboratory.
Superintendent D' Artagnan Katalbas Jr., city police chief, said the test was conducted to cleanse their ranks so that they can be more effective in their campaign against illegal drugs in the communities.
"We're basically doing this in regular and random basis to all personnel, not just on members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit," he added.
Results of the test through urine samples will come out soon.
Meanwhile, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in the city conducted a greyhound operation Monday, November 19, as part of the bureau's Oplan Linis Piitan to prevent entry of contrabands, particularly illegal drugs inside the jail. (GYM)
