FOUR police chiefs in Negros Occidental were relieved from their posts effective this June.
Superintendent Cresenciano Cordero, head of La Carlota City Police Station was relieved from his post effective June 8. He was transferred to Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) headquarters while his vacated post was assumed by Superintendent Romeo Vargas from the Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company (Nocpmfc).
On June 10, Superintendent Rhea Santos, head of Kabankalan City Police Station and Senior Inspector Edgar Tonico, officer-in-charge of Toboso Municipal Police Station will also be relieved from their posts.
Santos will be moved to Nocppo headquarters as operations officer while her vacated post will be taken over by Superintendent Jonel Guadalupe, who was an intelligence officer.
Chief Inspector Joery Puerto from the operations division of Nocppo will replace Tonico's post in Toboso town as the latter will continue his schooling.
Senior Inspector Jaynick Bermudez, head of Candoni Municipal Police Station was replaced by Senior Inspector Celjun Nemenio from Nocpmfc effective June 2.
Bermudez was moved to Nocppo headquarters.
Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil Jr., provincial director of Nocppo, said these police chiefs had already served their respective areas for two years.
They are also due for mandatory schooling and career advancement.
Meanwhile, Senior Inspectors Joy Ellaga, and Bonifacio Aral, and Inspectors Raymund Franco, Christopher Garde, and Reynaldo Severino were reassigned to different police stations and unit after finishing their mandatory schooling since June 2.
These police commissioned officers were reassigned to Victorias City, La Carlota City, Himamaylan City, Nocpmfc, and Kabankalan City, respectively.
Also, Chief Inspector Benedict Poblete, deputt chief of Provincial Intelligence Unit was promoted as officer-in-charge.
On the other hand, a policeman from Nocppo and three others were relieved by Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 after they were caught inside a cockpit in San Carlos City.
Castil said these policemen will be facing investigation in relation to their committed offense.(GYM)
