FORTY-THREE inmates and seven newly-assigned personnel of Metro Bacolod District Jail-Special Intensive Care Area (MBDJ-Sica) in Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City tested negative in the random drug test conducted inside the jail Tuesday.
Newly-assigned jail warden Ruth Estales also underwent the test.
A greyhound operation was also conducted but no illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia were seized inside the jail.
The operation was conducted in coordination with the personnel of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (Pdea).
Meanwhile, all employees of the City Government of Cadiz also underwent a drug test yesterday, June 5, in compliance with the guidelines of the Civil Service Commission.
Mayor Patrick Escalante, over an interview with Aksyon Radyo Bacolod, warned employees that they will be sanctioned and will undergo rehabilitation if found positive for drug use. (GYM)
