AT LEAST 500 residents, mostly belonging to indigent households, have availed of various services through the medical mission held at the covered court of Isabela town Saturday.
They were given free consultation, medicine, vitamins, and haircut, among other services.
Mayor Joselito Malabor said the medical mission was conducted through the office of Special Assistant to the President Secretary Bong Go in cooperation with the Municipal Government of Isabela.
For the local government alone, it has already funded various programs through the Municipal Health Office and Rural Health Units.
It is implementing 86 program, projects, and activities (PPAs). Of which, some are through the national government mainly the Department of Health.
"Health is one of our priorities along with education," Malabor said, adding that "a healthy community is vital to economic development."
