A TOTAL of 62 persons in Bacolod City were arrested by Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) for violating curfew hours on Sunday, April 26.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said Monday the 62 persons were arrested in various areas in the city for violating curfew hours from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Of 62 violators, 54 of them were arrested by personnel of Police Station 7 in the areas of Barangays Mansilingan and Vista Alegre. Eight of them were arrested by personnel of Police Station 2 in the areas of Barangays 1, 2, and 4.
The violators were given a warning and were released, but some of them were also charged for violation of Article 51 or Revised Penal Code for disobedience to person in authority.
Mayor Evelio Leonardia earlier issued Executive Order (EO) 22, providing for the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of EO 21, Series of 2020.
The curfew hours starts from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. of the following day. These restricted hours shall require any person to already have returned to his/her home and stay there until the lapse of the restriction.
