NINE persons were arrested by Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) for violating curfew hours from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Saturday, May 9.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said the violators were arrested by personnel of Police Stations 2 and 8.

Of the nine violators, six were arrested in the areas of Barangays 6 and 8, while three others were arrested in the areas of Barangays Pahanocoy, Singcang-Airport and Tangub.

Pico said the violators were given a warning and were released.

Last week, more than 50 curfew violators were also arrested in various barangays and some of them were charged with violation of Article 151 of Revised Penal Code for disobedience to person in authority.

Mayor Evelio Leonardia earlier issued Executive Order (EO) 22, providing for the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of EO 21, Series of 2020.

The curfew hours start from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. of the following day. These restricted hours shall require any person to already have returned to his/her home and stay there until the lapse of the restriction.
