A TOTAL of 94 passengers left Bacolod City on Saturday, May 9, via chartered flight of Philippine Airlines arranged by the American Embassy.
Jennylind Cordero, provincial tourism officer, said that of the total number of passengers, 47 are Americans.
The other passengers were Filipinos - 27, Mexican - 1, German - 1, Canadians - 7, Thais - 3, Arabs - 2, Spanish - 1, Japanese - 2
Korean - 1, Austrian - 1 and a Norwegian.
Of the total number of passengers, 59 came from Bacolod and 35 from Negros Occidental.
Cordero said that from Bacolod, the plane will go to Dumaguete to pick up more passengers and then fly back to Manila.
She added the passengers paid for their own fare.
There are still many foreigners currently stranded in the province, she added.
On Monday, the South Korean embassy also arranged a sweeper flight for seven Korean nationals in Bacolod, Cordero said.
Cordero said the flight will also pick up passengers in Cebu and fly back to Incheon, South Korea.
