LIEUTENANT General Rolando Joselito Bautista, commanding general of the Philippine Army, shared his experiences to the Negrenses during the war in Marawi City.
Bautista was in Bacolod on Wednesday, May 9, to talk about the advocacy of the Army, which is to counter violent extremism.
During the talk at the Provincial Capitol Social Hall in Bacolod City, which was attended by more than 100 people from various sectors including the academe, Bautista showed to the audience the actual footages of the war in Marawi City.
They documented the operations, rescue of hostages, and the rehabilitation.
Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Ma. Lina Sanogal said the footages shown were vivid, adding it was "emotion-filled" forum.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo Bacolod, Bautista said he will push for transparency and good governance as leader of the military forces.
Bautista believed that it would be best to follow what the President wants for the good of the country. (GYM)
