THE Bacolod City employees will receive additional cash incentives or the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) bonus in December.
Mayor Evelio Leonardia said on Friday, November 23, they are now preparing for the release of the CNA for the employees.
Leonardia, who refused to reveal the amount, said they are "squeezing everything to give whatever is the maximum."
He said he has not yet received a copy of the guidelines from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
"I assure that our employees' welfare is one of our topmost priorities. It's been my basic principles that there's always be the legal basis and the funds are available," he added.
On November 15, the city employees already received P5,000 cash gift and a year-end bonus which is equivalent to their one-month basic salary.
Only the regular employees and plantilla casuals could avail the bonuses.
In May, the city employees have already received their mid-year bonus.
In 2017, the city released P25,000 CNA bonus for the city employees.
DBM's Budget Circular No. 2017-3 stated that the CNA bonus is only limited at P25,000. (MAP)
