CAPITOL employees will get P60,000 each as extra bonus starting Friday, December 20.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson announced Tuesday night, December 17, that the 3,197 Capitol employees will receive P60,000 each as extra bonus during the Capitol employees Christmas Party at the SMX Convention Center.
The extra bonus comes from the P323 million savings of the Provincial Government.
The Provincial Board approved the budget and the authority of Lacson to release the bonus during its regular session Wednesday.
The total amount is composed of the Incentive Benefits for Exemplary Services worth P55,000 each and the Productivity Enhancement Incentive at P5,000 each.
The amount given to all regular and casual Capitol employees is the same as those given to employees of the Office of the President, the governor pointed out.
The extra bonus will be released on December 20.
In reaction to the extra bonus, Renelo Lastierre, vice president and spokesperson of the Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (Pace), said they are thankful for the bonus.
"Part of the P323 million savings will go to the repair of Panaad which in the long term will earn additional income for the Capitol and will go back to us the employees," he said.
Lastierre also added that employees "will return the concern of our officials through their dedication and hard work as frontliners of the Provincial Government."
