THE resumption of operation of the Ceres buses of Vallacar Transit Inc. (VTI) is moved to May 16 instead of May 4 as earlier announced.
This, after the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) is extended in Bacolod City until May 15.
Jade Seballos, legal and media relations officer of VTI, said though the bus firm is ready to resume operations, it would be difficult for its part given that its major terminals and gasoline stations are in Bacolod City.
Also, some of the workers and drivers are from outside Bacolod and that they are not still allowed to enter the city while the ECQ prevails, Seballos said.
"For now, we are looking at resuming the operation of our buses once the ECQ in Bacolod City is lifted," she added.
The VTI official, though, assured that some of their assigned units will continue to cater frontliners and other essential workers in Bacolod City through the "Libre Sakay" Program.
