A FISH vendor was shot to death by a village watchman at Barangay Culipapa in Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental Thursday, August 9.
Killed was Edelberto Baldesco Jr., a native of Misamis Occidental, and temporarily residing at the said village.
Police records showed that Baldesco and the suspect Edward Abugan, 34, was having a drinking session with their two friends when a misunderstanding ensued between them.
Baldesco allegedly insulted Abugan, which prompted him to shoot the victim using an unknown firearm, and fled.
Baldesco succumbed to a lone gunshot wound on his chest. (Faith Hope Lauren, STI West Negros University intern)
