Frustrated murder suspect arrested

A 26-YEAR-OLD man charged with frustrated murder was arrested by operatives of Police Station 8 at Villa Esperanza, Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City on Monday, May 27.

Police identified the suspect as Junnel Nopuete, of Barangay Tangub.

Police Major Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said that Nopuete was arrested by virtue of bench warrant for non-appearance to court hearing for the crime of frustrated murder.

The warrant was issued by Judge Ana Celeste Bernad of Regional Trial Court Branch 44, Bacolod City with no bail recommended.

The suspect is detained at the custody of Police Station 8.

Meanwhile, a 49-year-old man was also arrested by operatives of Police Station 4 at Acacia Road, Villa Angela Subduvision, Baragay Villamonte, Bacolod City on Monday.

Arrested was Armando Dedoyco Jr., of Barangay Villamonte.

Pico said Dedoyco has an arrest warrant for slight physical injury issued by Judge Jose Paolo Ariola of Municipal Trial Court of Cities (MTCC) Branch 1, Bacolod City.

The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 4 for failure to post his bail of P3,000. (MAP)
