LA CASTELLANA Mayor Rhumyla Nicor-Mangilimutan has stressed that the use of ambulance especially in bringing patients to the hospital is free of charge.
"We don't charge even for gasoline" Nicor-Mangilimutan said at the sidelines of the blessing of five newly-acquired vehicles of the locality.
Kabankalan Bishop Louie Galbines led the blessing of the vehicles which coincided with the fiesta of Senora Nuestra de Salvacion, patron saint of Barangay Cabacungan.
The mayor said that aside from the five vehicles, the municipal government will also purchase another ambulance to augment the existing three vehicles.
She said that even neighboring towns borrow their ambulances during emergency situations.
The towns of Isabela, Moises Padilla and even Salvador Benedicto have been requesting for the use of their ambulances.
"We are glad to be of help. It's for free," she added.
Meanwhile, of the five newly-acquired vehicles, two are for utilization of the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, one for the Bureau Jail Management and Penology, La Castellana National High School being a Hall of Famer for Brigada Eskwela, and the Municipal Police Station. (PR)
