A MAN died after he was allegedly run over by a tricycle at Barangay Cabug, Bacolod City Saturday night.
Killed was Junior lijino, 45, of Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental, a car mechanic temporarily working in the said village.
Police records showed that Lijino was crossing the street around 9 p.m. when he was reportedly sideswiped by a motorcycle driven by Oliver Young, 38, of Barangay Handumanan.
Lijino fell on the road. He tried to stand but he was run over by an incoming tricycle driven by an unidentified man.
The unidentified driver then fled.
Senior Inspector John Christopher Masangkay, head of Police Station 9, said the motorcycle driver surrendered to the police but follow-up operation is ongoing for the apprehension of the tricycle driver.
Masangkay said the victim's family and the motorcycle driver have already agreed for a settlement.
