Town security shot and killed by suspected NPA

A CIVIL security personnel in Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental was believed to be ambushed and killed by suspected members of the New People's Army (NPA) at Barangay Quintin Remo on Sunday.

Senior Police Officer (SPO4) Noel Gillang, deputy chief of Moises Padilla Municipal Police Station, said 32-year-old Rusty Camenade of the said village was driving a motorcycle from his house to Poblacion village proper when he was waylaid by six unidentified armed men.

Four of the six suspects served as a lookout, he added.

They then escaped on foot while shouting "Mabuhay ang NPA (Long live NPA)," Gillang said.

Camenade succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds on his body and head.

Police recovered fired bullets of .45 caliber pistol and .9mm caliber.

Police have yet to identify the perpetrators. (GYM)
