CHIEF Inspector Abner Zamora is the new warden of Negros Occidental District Jail (NODJ) in Bago City effective October 16.
This was confirmed to VoxPop Bacolod on Monday, October 15, by Chief Inspector Castle Masip, outgoing NODJ warden.
Zamora's previous assignment was in Nanga, Iloilo.
Masip said the turnover ceremony was held at the regional office of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP)-Western Visayas in Iloilo City on October 15.
Masip was reassigned to the National Capital Region (NCR).
He served as NODJ warden for one year and eight months.
Masip expressed his gratitude to the men and women of NODJ as well as to the stakeholders for the partnership and support they had given to make his initiatives and programs into reality for the development of the jail and the inmates during his stint. (GYM)
