Capitol employees to receive hazard pay, SRA

Published on

CAPITOL employees will receive hazard pay of P500 per day, while health workers who are considered as frontliners will receive additional special risk allowance (SRA) during the duration of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) enhanced community quarantine in the province. Renelo Lastiere, of the Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees, said they have presented the matter to Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson and that Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, provincial administrator, has assured that computation will be made depending on the daily time record of the employees. He said frontliners will receive P500 per day as hazard pay, plus SRA, which is 25 percent of their basic salary because they have been exposed to risk and danger in doing their jobs at this time of the Covid-19 pandemic. The total amount that will be received by the employees will depend on the number of days they reported since the start of the ECQ and will be determined based on their respective daily time record at the end of the month. The Provincial Government has deployed skeletal workforce since the start of the implementation of ECQ in the province on March 30.
