THE Covid-19 positivity rate in Negros Occidental continued to go down, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II said.
Diaz said this is due to the effective vaccination program of the province, which has already earned commendation from the Regional Office of the Department of Health.
The governor has instructed that within five days upon arrival of the vaccines, the rollout should be done and that the Provincial Health Office along with the city and municipal health offices of the local government units (LGUs) have been tirelessly working not to delay the vaccine rollout.
"We also placed the right logistical tools and use early detection, early isolation, and cure. The LGUs have been supported by the province in terms of testing that when there are positive individuals of Covid-19 immediate isolation is done and that is our best defense," Diaz said.
He also said that the isolation and quarantine facilities of the province, like Mambukal Resort in Murcia, Cadiz City and Silay City, have below a hundred percent occupancy because of negligible positivity in the province.
