SENIOR Superintendent Rodolfo Castil Jr., acting director of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo), said there was no order to raid the house of Mayor Joselito Malabor in Isabela town.
Castil made the clarification after reports on the said raid circulated Tuesday, September 25, among media entities.
Castil, in a phone interview with VoxPop Bacolod, said he did not make such order.
"If so, there should also be a directive from the higher office, but there's none," he added.
"Walang ganun. Ewan ko kung ba't may ganyang speculations (There's no such order. I don't know why there are speculations)," Castil said.
Castil said he also called Senior Inspector Randy Babor, town police chief, to check the veracity of the report, but the latter also denied it.
Malabor, in a press release Wednesday, September 26, also denied the report. He was even surprised by it.
The mayor said he could not think of any reason why his house will be raided.
"I have nothing to be afraid of except that if in case that is true, we are worried that some 'things' will be planted to implicate us," he added.
He has strengthened his security force because of the continued threats against him. (GYM)
