MAYOR Evelio Leonardia and Representative Greg Gasataya led the inauguration and turnover of two four-storey senior high school buildings in Bacolod City National High School Thursday.
The two school buildings are among the four school buildings and one laboratory building with a total project cost of P131 million funded by the national government.
Leonardia said he conceptualized the project and the funding was approved when he was a congressman from 2013 to 2016. His successor, Gasataya, followed up the completion of the school buildings, he added.
This shows that if the city officials work together, many projects will be completed for Bacolod, the mayor said.
Each of the 4-storey school building has 20 classrooms.
BCNHS principal Lila Arro said Leonardia had already inaugurated the two other 4-storey school buildings and the laboratory building last year.
Joining the turnover and inauguration ceremonies were Councilors Cindy Rojas, Renecito Novero, Em Ang, Bartolome Orola and Lady Gles Gonzales, Senior High School assistant principal Susie Araneta, and alumni president Teresita Legazpi. (PR)
