THE Provincial Board of Negros Occidental concurred the appointment of lawyer Annabelle Palic as the department head handling the Human Resource Department of the Provincial Government during their regular session Wednesday, June 27.
Second District Board Member Salvador Escalante Jr., who served as the acting vice governor and presiding officer, said the appointment of Palic was upon the endorsement of Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr.
Palic was invited by members of the Provincial Board to shed light on some matters regarding her appointment and the policy of the Human Resource Department under her leadership.
She said there are 3,336 permanent positions in the provincial government and only 2,092 were filled up while there more than 1,300 casual positions were available and that only 797 workers were hired as of May.
