VETERAN actress Susan Roces, who hails from Silay City, asked her fellow Negrenses to support the reelection bid of her daughter Senator Grace Poe in the May 13 polls.
Roces was in Bacolod City and joined Poe in her visits to some areas of the city.
While busy with the taping of the Philippine drama series "Ang Probinsyano," Roces still managed to be back in Bacolod City to receive her award as an alumna of La Consolacion College - Bacolod High School, batch 1956. Her alma mater marks its centennial anniversary this month with a celebration from March 4 to 12.
At the same time, Roces grabbed the opportunity to be with her daughter, Sen. Poe, who is seeking a mandate for a second term as member of the Senate of the Philippines. Poe is running as an independent candidate.
Poe consistently tops the senatorial surveys.
Roces said her daughter never wasted the mandate the people gave her six years ago.
She penned a number of legislations that are currently being implemented. Her feeding program to underprivileged children continues.
The "Ang Probinsyano" matriarch hopes that Negrenses will continue to support Poe in the upcoming polls. (CNC)
