A FORMER member of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) was tested positive in the mandatory drug test of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 last week.

Senior Superintendent Francisco Ebreo, acting BCPO director, said the policeman has a rank of Police Officer 3, who was previously assigned at Police Station 2.

He was relieved from BCPO last month, together with five others from Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo), due to their alleged involvement in illegal activities.

They were all transferred to the Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit (RPHAU) and were subjected to a drug test last week.

Aside from the six sacked policemen, a Senior Police Officer 1 from Iloilo Provincial Police Office (IPPO), who applied for a promotion, also yielded positive in the drug test, Superintendent Joem Malong, public information officer of PRO-6, said yesterday.

PRO-6 continues to implement internal cleansing in all policemen in the region as mandated by the higher headquarters, she said.
