SENATORIAL candidate Dan Roleda, deputy secretary general of the United Nationalist Alliance, expressed his support on the release of the list of "narco-politicians" as long as it is credible and under oath.
Roleda, who was in Bacolod City Wednesday, March 6, for his campaign sorties, said "If it is credible and under oath then, the people should be informed that it is the list of the politicians involved in illegal drug trade."
Earlier, Presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo said that President Rodrigo Duterte has already given the green light to release the list.
Roleda said Duterte is a tough and strong President.
"Being a President is a destiny. God really loves our country because regardless of whatever they say about our President (his choice of words), but actually he is the kind of the President that we need for the country today. We need a strong, tough President to be able to handle the problem of the country," he said.
The senatorial candidate also believes that President Duterte is doing right.
Roleda, a former councilor of Manila and former president of Philippine Councilor's League, paid a courtesy call to Mayor Evelio Leonardia and the members of the City Council at the Bacolod Government Center.
Roleda said being the only councilor running for Senate, he's already exposed to the local government issues and the basic needs of the Filipinos.
"We should address the basic needs of our people like the health, education, livelihood and housing," he said. (MAP)
