A VEHICLE driven by Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairman of Barangay 3 in Bacolod City fell on the stairs after it overshot the parking area in front of the Bacolod Arts, Youth, and Sports (Bays) center Tuesday afternoon, August 21.

According to Derrick Mark Maravilla, he was about to park his car when he suddenly lost control over the vehicle and stepped on the gas pedal instead of its brake.

Then it accelerated towards the left portion of the entrance of the Bays center, where some bystanders and vendors are situated.

Maravilla and his friend were supposed to attend a screening of a basketball tournament organized by the City Government when the incident happened. No injuries were reported.

The bumper of his car and the steel gate of the Bays center were slightly damaged.

It took about 20 minutes for the personnel of the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) to tow the vehicle. (GYM)
