BACOLOD City District Representative Greg Gasataya is scheduled to attend the 139th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Switzerland on October 14 to 18.
Gasataya said on Friday, October 12, he was among the eight officials who were invited to be part of the Philippine delegation to Switzerland.
He said the Philippine delegation will be led by House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, along with Senators Franklin Drilon, Ralph Recto and Panfilo Lacson and four congressmen.
Gasataya said the inter-parliamentary union is one of the oldest organizations of various parliament all over the world which composed of at least 170 nations.
He said he was tasked to handle the debate and other aspects on Committee on Sustainable Development, Finance, and Trade.
"I'm grateful to be part of the delegation, it's an honor and a very big opportunity," he said.
