PATIENT No. 4 in Talisay City, Negros Occidental has tested negative for Sars-CoV-2, the virus that causes the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
In a statement, Talisay City Mayor Neil Lizares said that aside from the patient, aged four years old, his mother and brother also tested negative for the virus.
"The three were transported back to their home for a strict and monitored 14-day home quarantine," Lizares said.
The mayor also confirmed that the patient's other relatives are still confined in the city's quarantine facility, awaiting the results of their RT-PCR tests.
Lizares said his executive order placing Purok Pasto under lockdown will not yet be lifted, and strict quarantine measures will still be imposed to ensure the security and safety of the residents.
"I am grateful to all of you for showing your concern to our patients. Please make proper handwashing, proper wearing of your face masks, and strict social distancing a routine in your households and outside," he added.
