THE Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) said on Wednesday, February 13, that 100 scholars could avail bundled courses through the Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center (NOLITC).
This is contained in the Memorandum of Agreement signed on Wednesday between Tesda and the province of Negros Occidental relative to Republic Act 10931 or the Universal Access to Quality a tertiary Education Act.
Ashary Banto, director of Tesda- Western Visayas, said that the program which will be offered through NOLITC will include Contact Center Services NCII, 2D Animation, and Visual Graphic Design.
The 2D Animation and Visual Graphic Design will be under one bundled course and then Contact Services and Visual Graphic Design is another bundled course.
The total amount allocated for the programs will be P2.8 million and that the beneficiaries will enjoy free training for seven to nine months and will have components of free allowance, dormitory if the students wanted to, instructional materials, uniforms, and tool kit.
This is the first time that this program and offerings will happen in 22 implementors all over the region.
Dr. Cristina Orbecido, head of NOLITC, said that the program is open to all high school graduates or even college dropouts provided they have not availed to any Tesda scholarship program.
She bared that this is a transition of Tesda towards diploma courses.
