A DECOMPOSING body of an unidentified male student was found dead at the waters of Barangay Bagumbayan in Valladolid, Negros Occidental Friday, September 28.
Senior Inspector Junji Liba, town police chief, said they were not able to identify the victim because he was already on the advanced state of decomposition.
He was wearing a shirt with a print South Coast International School.
Liba said the victim, aged between 12 to 15 and stands four to five feet, was probably carried away by huge waves from Panay area.
He must have drowned, Liba added.
His cadaver was brought to Lagunday Funeral Homes in Bago City.
Liba said he already coordinated with authorities in Oton, Iloilo after they received reports that a male student reportedly went missing there since September 22.
Liba said they already have a lead on the identity of the victim but it is still subject for confirmation.
