VICE Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson urged all local candidates to commit to an orderly and peaceful campaign, which officially starts Friday, March 29.
"On the first day of the local campaign, I am calling all candidates to commit to an orderly and peaceful campaign period," said Lacson.
Lacson, who is unopposed in the gubernatorial position, will start his campaign Friday, March 29, with a mass and will join local candidates in a caravan.
"I would like to assure the people that I will abide by clean, honest and peaceful elections even up to the day of voting in May," Lacson said.
About 18,000 local positions are up for grabs on May 13 from governor, vice governor to congressman, mayor, vice mayor and members of the city and municipal councils.
The Commission on Elections is urging the candidates to post campaign materials only in the common poster areas in their respective localities. (TDE)
