THE Office of the Vice Governor and the Provincial Board (PB) were locked down effective Wednesday afternoon, September 2, by Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer until September 8 after another technical assistant (TA) of a board member was suspected to be positive for coronavirus.

Renelo Lastierre, head of the Security Office of the Capitol, made the confirmation of the lockdown Wednesday.

Lastierre said the Provincial Health Office is now in the process of contact tracing the employee's close contacts.

The offices will also undergo disinfection, he added.

However, the administrative section of the PB located at the basement will still be open to serve the public, Lastierre said.

The technical assistant is reportedly the same person who was first to be quarantined but was cleared after her first swab test result turned negative.
