Vice President Maria Leonor "Leni" Robredo is expected to arrive in Bacolod City next month.
This was confirmed to VoxPop Bacolod yesterday by former Negros Governor Rafael Coscolluela.
He said the vice president was supposed to be in the province yesterday, but she didn't make it due to some conflicts on her schedule.
She will arrive in the province on May 9 for the launching of "Istorya ng Pag-asa."
She will also be the guest speaker at the Carlos Hilado Memorial State College.
Last October, Robredo was also in the city for the launching of "Istorya ng Pag-Asa."
The vice president has been going around the country to collect inspirational stories, or "Istorya ng Pag-Asa," which will be compiled in a coffee table book.
She said it's a humble contribution from her office.
Meanwhile, Coscolluela, a staunch supporter of Robredo, refused to comment on the ongoing recount of votes based on the electoral protest of his opponent former senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. before the Presidential Electoral Tribunal.
Coscolluela said Negros Occidental is not included in the ballots that were subjected to the recount.
Robredo won in the province by a big margin in the 2016 elections. (TDE)
