CALATRAVA'S John Michael Zulueta is up to defend his Asian Boxing Federation minimumweight belt against Mike Kinaadman of Cagayan de Oro on Sunday for the "Bakbakan sa Bacolod," a MassKara Festival special presentation at the Gaisano City Mall.
The 10-round championship fight is presented by Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia Boxing Development Program backstopped by the Bacolod Amateur Boxing Association in cooperation with the Singwancha Foundation, N1S, and Lone District Representative Greg Gasataya.
But before both fighters enter the ring, they will first make their first challenge on the scale in today's official's weigh-in at Gaisano City event center under the supervision of the Games and Amusement Board.
Also taking the weighing scales today are undercard fighters Rommel Redondo of Murcia who will face La Carlota City's Paul Varona for the six-round clash at 122 lbs.
Another Murciahanon in the undercard is Tomas Ribuset going against Rodel Sioco of Bacolod City in a four-round battle at 112 lbs. Jerson dela Cruz, also of Murcia, will face another Bacolodnon fighter Ricky delos Santos for a 4-round face-off at 105 lbs.
Aside from these professional bouts, 15 other amateur fights are also scheduled to entertain the crowd.
