Bacolod-based batter Fuentes Lines clinched their first win in the 1st Lourdes Socorro Escalante Open Summer League with a 4-3 escape against Talisay City over the weekend at the Hda. Lourdes Softball Dream Park in Manapla.
The win by Fuentes put them atop of the table as Talisay City slid to second place with 2-1 card followed by Silay City (2-1) which defeated winless Cadiz City (0-3), 6-2.
Meanwhile, Carlos Hilado Memorial State College Barkadas is at fourth position with a 1-1 record.
For the Negros First 2nd Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. Area 2 Inter-Hacienda Summer League, undefeated Hda. Gaston-Manapla dominated Hda. Fuentes-Sagay on Saturday, 10-3, while Punta Salong-Manapla survived over Hda. Lourdes, 13-11, as Cadiz Sluggers escaped tough challenge from Hda. Burgos-Cadiz, 7-6. (HGD
