

NEGRENSE athletes settled for bronze medals in the ongoing Asean School Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Trinity Christian School gymnast Althea Descutido finished with a bronze medal in the rhythmic gymnastics with Thailand's Arisa Thnthathoedtham who scored 10.85 points each. Host-Malaysia shared the gold-silver of Iazzah Binti Amzan and Rayna Hoh Khai Ling, respectively.
On the other hand, St. John's Institute badminton tandem of Yllana Tan and Mia Manguilimotan also grabbed bronze medals after losing to Thailand in semis, 3-0.
Indonesia prevailed followed by Thailand.
"This is a great accomplishment already for us since our opponents are powerhouse teams in badminton in Southeast and even in Asia," said Jay Binas. (HGD)
