AFTER the second set on July 29, defending champion NOHS Kami Mga Hubin took the lead from two-time titlist DLNHS D'Bounty Strikers in the ongoing 6th Interschool Alumni Bowlfest 2018 elimination round at Negros Super Lanes at Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.
NOHS KMH rolled a three-game 1,542 pinfalls to propel them on top of the heap while D'Bounty Strikers fell at no.4 with 1,406. The other two spots went to running second BCHS '72 Mustangs with 1,619 and running third WNU Bowldozers with 1,544.
Lead organizer Noela Borja said the format in the eliminations has been modified to improve the level of play of every bowler in their respective teams.
The grouping of these bowling teams will be determined after the 10-set eliminations where the top 1-4 is bracketed in "A," top 5-8 is Bracket "B," and top 9-12 is Bracket "C." Twice-to-beat advantage awaits the no. 1, no. 5, and no. 9 finishers.
Rounding up the top 12 teams are KMH - 3,092; Mustangs - 2,998; Bowldozers - 2,990; D'Bounty Strikers - 2,964; SJS-LS Shieldz - 2,928; BCHS Lucky Strike - 2,908; NOHS Mary Queen - 2,890; NOHS Color Ideas - 2,886; NOHS/Davies Pinbusters - 2,884; CSA-B Unity - 2,872; BCHS Conquerors - 2,855; NOHS Colony - 2,841.
