AFTER failing his first fight in the United States, Bacolod City's Genesis "Kimishi" Servania (32-1-0 with 15 KOs) came out with a huge knockout victory over the weekend against Mexican Carlos "Memin" Carlson (23-5-0 with 14 KOs) for the super bantamweight division face-off in the undercard of Jerwin Ancajas-Alejandro Santiago Barrios IBF super flyweight title fight at Oracle Arena in Oakland.
The 27-year-old former world champion contender started the opening round with a commanding performance on several combinations but the Mexican was unfazed as he fought on his pace.
Both fighters continued to exchange blows in the second round with Carlson directing the pace while Servania keeping his gloves up with few counters.
Servania nailed a solid right in Round 3 forcing Carlson to kiss the canvas allowing referee Marcos Rosales to start counting.
Carlson was unable to get up as the mandatory 10-count rule expires and Servania sealed the win in 2:30 minutes of the round.
"I would like to thank God for this win as well as to the prayers from all my supporters," Servania said.
The fight was presented by Bob Arum's Top Rank and supervised by the California State Athletic Commission.
