STAI Youth-PRIMA bowler JJ Besa won the July title over two of the best tenpin players in the recently-concluded Tenpin Masters Challenge (TMC) Season Five Championship Shootout at Lopue's East Bowling Center in Bacolod City.
Besa toppled 206 pinfalls in the battle for the first monthly crown on July 26 to outscore eventual 1st runner-up Willy Nieva who got 178 and Herman Santos' 168 who came in second. The youth champion was seeded no.1 after topping the Master's Event with a five-game 1,032.
In the semi-finals, Nieva and Santos were the highest scorers in their respective groups to advance in the final shootout. Completing the runners-up were Sunny Tankit, 3rd; OJ Lopue, 4th; Andrew Montelibano, 5th; and Ariel Yelo, 6th.
Meanwhile, Kenneth Agujo was the champion during the July 2018 King of the Lanes played simultaneously with the TMC S5 finals using opposite of the set of lanes. Runners-up were Richel Gumban, Ato Ng, and Dwight Somcio.
