LA TRINIDAD, Benguet -- An extortionist who claims to be a trial court judge was arrested by police.
Narlyvanne Bautista Tavares, 23, native of Dagupan City, Pangasinan and resident of Aurora Hill, Baguio City was nabbed in an entrapment operation by La Trinidad Municipal Police Station.
In a police report, the suspect was caught on the act of receiving money from her victim, a retired police officer.
The report added the victim revealed on February 5, he received a text message from the suspect asking him to give P7,000 to withdraw a complaint filed case against him.
A case of robbery extortion is being prepared for filing at the Benguet Provincial Prosecutor's Office against the suspect.
