BAGUIO City's present number coding scheme will be adopted during the duration of the general community quarantine (GCQ).
The city earlier announced an odd-even number coding scheme to be implemented Monday, May 18.
But the city decided to revert back to the number coding ordinance after a meeting with members of the City Inter Agency Task Force on Covid-19 meeting on May 15, which tackled guidelines under a general community quarantine from May 16 to 31, 2020.
For private vehicles, the Number Coding Ordinances (Ordinance No. 01-2003, as amended by Ordinance No. 107-2008) will resume May 18.
Identified Authorized Persons Outside of Residence (APOR) in Executive Order No. 89 series of 2020 are exempted from the number coding scheme.
Private vehicles with plate numbers coinciding with their market day schedules will have to take the public utility services in going to the market while marked vehicles of utility companies (BWD, Beneco, PLDT), garbage trucks, water delivery and cargo trucks will have freedom of movement without the need to secure a special permit.
Public utility jeeps (PUJs), meanwhile, are exempt from the operation of the number coding measures. PUJs will be allowed to operate from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. with a 50 percent passenger capacity and should observe required sanitary measures.
Commuters not wearing face masks will be denied travel to and from their place point of travel.
Taxis with plate ending in 1 will be allowed to ferry passengers May 18 and May 29; plate ending in 2 – May 19 and May 30; plate ending in 3 – May 20; plate ending in 4 – May 21;plate ending in 5 – May 22; plate ending in 6 – May 23; plate ending in 7 – May 25; plate ending in 8 – May 26; plate ending in 9 – May 27; p late ending in 0 – May 28.
Market day schedule will also strictly be observed with a reminder to the residents to bring with them their quarantine passes, the wearing of face masks, and the observance of physical distancing.
