A BAGUIO girl making waves in taekwondo was recently lauded by the city council for her exploits in competitions.
In a resolution by Councilor Arthur Allad–iw, Kriszna Chaitania Liporada was congratulated and commended for winning the gold medal during the 94th National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) taekwondo championships which was approved and adopted by the City Council.
Liporada, 19, is the daughter Isagani and Alma of Baguio City and is a 4th year Human Biology student and a full athletic scholar at San Beda University and a member of San Beda Lady Red Jins Taekwondo Women and Team Baguio Taekwondo.
The NCAA is the oldest collegiate sports association in the Philippines where the school members face each other yearly to compete in various sport's category, to achieve this year's Season 94's theme, "Unparalleled Heights through Sports Development."
"During the 94th NCAA Taekwondo Championships held at San Beda University, Mendiola, Manila from October 12-14, she again nailed it and emerged as the Champion!, bringing pride and honor to the City of Baguio which will forever be attached to her name in her every fight and achievements," the resolution said.
