SAINT Louis University (SLU) earned five gold medals en route to bagging the overall title in the wushu-taulo competition of the Baguio-Benguet Educational Athletic League season 32.
Alieson Ken Omengan and Marissa Camut scored two gold medals each to lead the Navigators charge as the school also took home one silver and three bronze medals in the tournament.
Omengan snatched the goild medal in the 3rd set nanquan male and 2nd set nandaoa and nangun male, while Camut took home the top mint in the 2nd set nandao and nangun female and 3rd set nanquan female.
Also winning the gold for SLU is Luwinda Goyone (1st set short and loneg weapon female) while Kennie Neven Jan Omengan took home a silver as Joshua Estepa, Luwinda Goyone, and Xhnnea Rilynne Macaraeg all settled for bronze.
University of the Cordilleras meanwhile came in second with four gold medals coming from Kim Serrren, Airol Aronza, Jennifer Falag-ey, and Joemel Sumayao.
The Jaguars added seven silver courtesy of Roselyn Longboan two medal haul, Falag-ey, Rhea Banae, Jesrael Ballaba, Kim Serren, and Ridge Rainer Lachica while Ryan Wayas and Grace De Africa had two bronze medal each together with Jennifer Dazon.
University of Baguio meanwhile bagged two gold medals courtesy of Annabelle Donglay and Felix Sad-ang for a decent third place finish, while Denzel Kapawen, Sad-ang, Specner Bahod, and Kaye Juan took home a silver each even as Arvin Camitgo Casaul chipped in a bronze medal. (Roderick Osis)
